Special star party July 12th

Do you have a telescope but you’re not sure if it’s working, or are not sure how to operate it? It’s a very common problem! We’re sponsoring a special star party at Quail Hollow Ranch County Park on July 12th. A “Bring your scope and learn how to make it work” event. We’ll have club astronomers onsite starting around 6:30PM and we’ll help you figure out your scope. Just email us and tell us what Make/Model or kind of telescope you have, what issues you have and include a note if you think it needs a power supply. Most don’t but some do. And stick around until the moon is visible around 8PM and test your new skills, or stick around until 9:30PM and see M13, the Hercules globular cluster. You can email us at: contact@astronomy.santa-cruz.ca.us

Yosemite 2024

On Aug 2 and 3, we are sharing the star party hosting duties at Glacier Point with the San Francisco Amateur Astronomers.
